Dynamic content is used in most types of web sites whether the purpose is for information or for e-commerce. Depending on what the user needs when they visit the site they are able to access links that lead to the information they require.
A search bar is sometimes on offer within web sites where users can enter information they seek and be given a list that matches their exact needs within the site. A common piece of dynamic content is the addition of a salutation on a site that refers to the time of day, such as good morning or good evening. The content appears based on the time of day the site is accessed and is therefore considered dynamic content.
All search engines and social media networks are ran nearly exclusively by dynamic content, as are most of the larger company websites. There is a link between user’s desire to continue to access a page and the amount of dynamic content which appears.Back to Glossary Index
