Interruptions are used to draw attention away from everything else and focus only on the interruption. Interruptions could include pop-up windows that appear before a user can leave a page. This form of interruption should be used sparsely because it tends to upset people. A good place for an interruption is when someone leaves a cart without finishing the order. Interruptions can also include a hard visual design break that brings all attention to that part of the page
