Latent Conversion

Latent conversions are when visitors do not convert during their first web site visit but ultimately returns to the site on another visit and does convert at that time. It is the most common type of conversion as there are a higher rate of people who perform latent conversions than those which effect an order immediately upon clicking on a site.

Page optimizations are made with consideration of latent conversions. The reason why more latent conversions happen is because people normally double check different competitors before making a decision to purchase from one company or another so they will initially go on the site to view the products and then go back on the site to order should they believe that represents the best option.
