Sampling is commonly used in statistical analysis due to the ability for analyzing a subset of data from a site’s traffic and reporting on trends detected in that sample. In Analytics, sampling happens within the reports, during a data collection, or in both places. When a report is based on sampled data there is normally the option to adjust the sample size in order to increase accuracy or increase speed.
