A view is one of the basic tabs in Google Analytics account. Google account consists of three levels, one is an account level, one is property level and one is a view level. Analytics automatically creates one unfiltered view for every property in a user’s account, but allows for set up multiple views on a single property.
Any data you send to an Analytics property automatically appears in all views associated with that property. Views are used to filter the data, excluding the sources we do not want to track. They can also be used to differentiate the data individual analyst see. Typically, for a Google analytics account, at least three views must be created.Back to Glossary Index
